Using film-grade production technology, Lineplot's graphics pipeline extends from the raw data and symbolic models, to storyboard, information visualization design, 3D modeling and animation, rendering, compositing, editing, all the way to final output.

Traditional animation firms are not appropriate for highly quantitative content, because their graphics pipeline is not able accurately render the symbolic and numeric solutions inherent in finance. These data, and the models behind them, must be creatively and skillfully mapped to create graphical landscapes that represent them. Without Lineplot's customized pipeline tools, this mapping is very difficult, and even a medium-sized financial time series can completely overwhelm current animation software.
